1. What is a cookie?
Cookies are small text files that a website you visit saves in your browser. Browser storage (localStorage) is similar: preference data kept in your browser and not sent to the server.
2. Cookies and storage we use
Our website uses cookies that are essential for it to work, and browser storage to remember your preferences. Our club uses no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If you choose "Accept" in the cookie banner, third-party content such as Google Maps is also loaded, and these services may set their own cookies.
When you use a form (newsletter, contact, tryout application), the Cloudflare Turnstile script may load for spam protection. It only performs a bot check at that moment; it has no advertising or tracking purpose and is not loaded for visitors who do not use a form.
Google Maps on the contact page loads automatically if you accepted cookies; otherwise only when you press the "Show map" button. When the map opens, Google may set its own cookies in your browser; these are subject to Google's cookie policy and are not controlled by our club. If you do not open the map, no Google cookie is created.

| XSRF-TOKEN | Cookie | Security against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) | Same as the session | Panel users only |
| mkc.cookie-consent | Browser storage | Remembering your choice in the cookie banner (accept/reject) | Until cleared from the browser | Visitors who make a choice in the cookie banner |
| mkc.theme | Browser storage | Remembering the light/dark theme preference | Until cleared from the browser | Visitors who use the theme button |
| mkc.sidebar.collapsed | Browser storage | Remembering whether the panel menu is collapsed or expanded | Until cleared from the browser | Panel users only |
3. Consent and changing your choice
A cookie banner appears on your first visit. If you choose "Accept", third-party content such as Google Maps is loaded and these services may set their own cookies. If you choose "Reject", only essential cookies and preference storage are used; the site still works fully. Essential cookies and storage that remembers your own preferences do not require consent.
Your choice is stored only in your browser and is not sent to us. You can change it at any time from the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of the page.
4. How can you delete cookies?
You can delete or block cookies and site data at any time in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, you cannot sign in to the admin panel; the public parts of the website keep working. If you delete the theme preference, the website uses your device's light/dark setting.
